The 2025 Ford Bronco Sport is a compact crossover SUV sold by Ford and marketed under the Bronco label. The 2025 Ford Bronco SUV is based on the front-wheel-drive, unibody C2 platform, which is also used by the Ford Escape crossover and Maverick pickup. The Ford Bronco was launched alongside the sixth-generation Bronco body-on-frame SUV, which featured similar retro and off-road styling with a smaller footprint. Ford Bronco is highly recommended.

The 2026 Bronco is Ford’s answer to the long-unquestioned success of the Jeep Wrangler. Like the Jeep, the Bronco comes in two- and four-door versions and features both an optional manual transmission and all-wheel drive. The Bronco has plenty of juice from its 300-hp turbocharged inline-four engine with a 10-speed automatic transmission or a seven-speed manual transmission. Wilder’s powertrain is a 330-horsepower twin-turbo V-6.

The Bronco Raptor has 418 horsepower but is a completely different beast. Inside the Bronco is a sturdy control room that is easy to clean. Easy to drive on the street between campsites, the Bronco proves to be both a fun lifestyle vehicle and a viable rock-climbing tool. The Big Bend trim is pretty basic, but mid-range trims like Black Diamond and Outer Banks offer more features.

The Ford Bronco’s interior offers the same open-air amenities that make the Jeep Wrangler an outdoor enthusiast’s delight. There are a few more innovations in Ford’s interior compared to Jeep. The Bronco’s dashboard includes a shelf at the top that allows smartphones and GoPros to be mounted there. It also has frameless doors that are easy to remove. However, its tall side windows can hinder air sealing and allow extra wind noise into the cabin.

However, extended wheelbase four-door models have room to store all four doors. The exterior mirrors are mounted at the base of the windshield, they can also be used when the doors are removed. The cabin can be protected with available rubber flooring and marine-grade vinyl upholstery. Those who want a more opulent environment can opt for leather seating surfaces, but the wide plastic strips in the interior look cheap on upper trims. Even in the two-door Bronco, there’s enough room in the back seat to fit two adults comfortably. Only the four-door version has a third middle seat in the rear and offers much more legroom, but most of its extra length is applied to the cargo area, which is 50 percent larger than the two-door model.

Ford’s latest in-dash Sync 4 software powers a 12.0-inch touchscreen positioned in the center of the Bronco’s instrument panel. The setup allows for over-the-air updates and can connect wirelessly to the cloud and the user’s smartphone. The infotainment system also supports several modern infotainment features such as Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a subscription-based Wi-Fi hotspot. The unit can also be upgraded with desirable options like built-in navigation and a more powerful B&O stereo.

2025 Ford Bronco : Engine

The Ford Bronco Sport is powered by a standard 300-hp turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder or an optional 330-hp twin-turbocharged 2.7-liter V-6. A 10-speed automatic transmission connects to both gas engines, but a seven-speed manual transmission is only compatible with the smaller one. Unfortunately, neither engine has an enthusiastic soundtrack. Every Bronco sends power to all four wheels, and its independent front suspension is more advanced than the Jeep’s front bar axle. Other noteworthy options include 35-inch mud terrain tires, bead-lock wheels, electronic locking front and rear differentials, and a sway bar disconnect feature.

Both two- and four-door Ford Bronco models have a towing capacity of 3,500 pounds, the same as the Jeep Wrangler. The four-cylinder Bronco with automatic transmission is the most frugal model, getting 20 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the highway. Upgrade to the V-6 version with the Sasquatch package, which includes aggressive, oversized tires, and fuel economy drops to 17 mpg in both the city and the highway. We ran automatic-equipped Broncos on our 75-mph fuel economy route with both engines; the four-cylinder engine gets 22 mpg and the V-6 gets 18 mpg.

2025 Ford Bronco : Safety

The Bronco comes with a host of driver-assist technologies, including automatic high beams and parking sensors. It also has equipment that facilitates low-speed rock crawling and trail riding. For more information on the Bronco’s crash test results, visit the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) websites. Key safety features for the 2025 Ford Bronco include blind spot monitoring, lane keep assist, automatic emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning and lane departure.
