The 2023 Suzuki Jimny is a series of all-wheel drive off-road mini SUVs manufactured and marketed by Japanese automaker Suzuki. 2023 Suzuki Jimny is sold worldwide only as a two-door model. The production model features a familiar Maruti Suzuki cabin layout and some elements will be borrowed from Suzuki  Swift, Suzuki  Dzire, and even S-Cross.

The latest fourth-generation Suzuki Jimny has the same retro look as previous generations but includes a few styling cues from other all-terrain vehicles. Although the current Jimny is almost twice as heavy as the first, it still looks a bit like a baby Jeep.

The 2023 Jimny’s angular design gives it a tougher look than its predecessor, but the grille and round headlights are largely borrowed from the first-generation Jimny. Chunky 15-inch all-season tires add to its off-road capabilities.

The front is surprisingly wide, but the rear seats are narrow. There is no back door and it is very difficult to climb to the second row. The rear windows are fixed and cannot be opened. It can feel claustrophobic on long trips as there are no vents.

The latest Jimny model is powered by a naturally aspirated 1.5-liter inline-four engine for 101 horsepower and 130 Nm of torque. When the 1.5L engine is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox, the car provides a mileage of 15 to 16 kilometers per liter. With the 4-speed automatic transmission, fuel economy reaches 13 to 14 km/L.

Suzuki is renowned for its solid build quality, but a three-star safety rating is disappointing. The Suzuki Jimny was awarded three stars in the Euro NCAP crash test, which is hardly encouraging. 2023 Suzuki cars come with safety systems, including Dual Sensor Brake Assist (DSBS), which works if the system determines that there is a risk of collision with a vehicle or pedestrian in front.
