The 2025 Kia EV6 is a compact, all-electric crossover produced by KIA Motors. The 2025 Kia EV6 is also the first model to be named under the new terminology for Kia’s electric vehicle range from the EV1 to the EV9. The production version of the EV6 GT boasts 576 horsepower. With a maximum charging speed of approximately 225 kW, the EV6 uses energy quickly, making long-distance electric travel easy. It has a lot of advantages over rivals like the Ford Mustang Mach-E, Volkswagen ID.4, and Nissan Ariya, but the EV6 is slightly more expensive than its twin, the Hyundai Ioniq 5.

The infotainment system operates via a 12.0-inch touchscreen, which is an extension of the EV6’s 12.0-inch digital instrument cluster. However, the design and functionality of the menu structure and navigation is not very impressive. In addition to the ability to receive over-the-air updates and respond to multiple voice commands, the system also includes popular features such as Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, and Wi-Fi connectivity. Additionally, the stereo can be upgraded to a 14-speaker Meridian unit.

The KIA 2025 EV6 is mounted on the rear axle, giving it rear-wheel drive, or all-wheel drive with electric motors on the front and rear axles. All-wheel-drive models have a total of 320 or 576 horsepower, with the base rear-wheel-drive model making 167 or 225 horsepower. We drove the GT-Line AWD in Europe and enjoyed its satisfying acceleration, quick handling, and adjustable regenerative braking settings. On our test track, the 320-horsepower GT-Line model accelerated from zero to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds. The Performance model sits at the top of the range and comes with improvements such as an electronic limited-slip differential, stiffer chassis tuning, adaptive suspension, and firmer brakes.

The entry-level lightweight rear-wheel-drive model comes with a 58.0 kWh battery pack, while all other EV6s are equipped with a 77.4 kWh unit. Rear-wheel-drive models with the larger package are EPA-estimated at up to 310 miles, while the smaller package Light Short has a range of 232 miles. Opt for the high-performance GT and the range drops to around 206 mpg. We took the all-wheel drive Wind model on a 75 mph highway fuel economy route and measured a real-world driving range of 230 miles before the battery needed a charge. the most powerful GT model offered a range of 190 miles.

Along with the 800 kW operating voltage, Kia claims the battery can charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in less than 18 minutes when connected to a 350 kW fast charger.  The 11 kW on-board charger is expected to charge the battery from 10 to 100 percent in 7 hours when connected to a Level 2 outlet. The single-motor EV6 is EPA-rated at 117 MPGe combined.

The KIA EV6 comes with a variety of standard driver assistance technology, including automatic emergency braking and automatic high beams. Many other additional supports can be added for an even more secure experience. KIA EV6 crash test results will be available on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) websites. Key safety features of the KIA EV6 include blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, remote parking assist, and rear cross-traffic alert.
