The cabin has seen an upgrade with better materials and a standard 8.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. 2026 SEAT Ibiza Black Edition trim levels add features such as a large 9.2-inch navigation system, a digital cockpit, and ambient interior lighting. The Ibiza offers good performance, with impressive rear passenger space and a decent-sized boot. The SEAT brand will eventually focus on hybrid and plug-in hybrid models before phasing out internal combustion engines, with the Ibiza expected to be discontinued in 2025.

2026 SEAT Ibiza : Interior

Inside, the SEAT Ibiza’s interior has received significant upgrades, with improvements to the feel and materials to create a more modern, comfortable cabin. The soft-touch dashboard exudes a sense of quality, especially on higher trims, which can also feature microsuede upholstery and other refined touches. The dashboard design is intuitive and easy to use, with visible climate control buttons that are less intrusive than touchscreen-based systems. The “floating” infotainment touchscreen dominates the dashboard, measuring 8.25 inches in the Entry-level trim and 9.2 inches in all other trims. Android Auto is not supported by Apple CarPlay. The top trim adds features like the adjustable Digital Cockpit and LED ambient lighting around the air vents, which are accented with red on the FR trim and a subtle burgundy on the Xcellence.

The 2026 SEAT Ibiza interior is competitive for its class, with good legroom and supportive seats, including firm sports seats on the FR trims. The front cabin is roomy, fitting three adults in the back can be a challenge due to the car’s width. The 355-litre boot is one of the largest in the supermini segment and expands to 1,165 liters with the rear seats folded flat. However, folding the seats creates a significant footprint in the load area, although a false floor can be added as an option. While some hard plastics are present in less prominent areas, such as the door panels, the overall build quality is solid and feels sturdy enough to last. Sound insulation is generally good, creating a quiet and comfortable environment, even on busy roads.

2026 SEAT Ibiza : Engine

The latest SEAT Ibiza is powered by a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine. These turbocharged units (TSI) offer solid performance for both city and highway driving, making them the core of the current lineup. While older generations and some trims offer a wide range of engines, including diesel, the modern engine strategy reflects a move towards fuel efficiency and responsiveness. The most powerful version of the 1.0-litre engine, which offers strong acceleration and a comfortable drive at high speeds, is available with a 6-speed manual gearbox.

A 7-speed dual-clutch DSG automatic transmission is also available with this engine. Both the 95 PS and 110 PS TSI engines are praised for their responsiveness and the three-cylinder engine’s smoothness. The manual gearboxes are generally considered to be smooth and easy to use. The optional DSG automatic shifts quickly but can sometimes be hesitant when asked to accelerate suddenly.

2026 SEAT Ibiza : Safety

The SEAT Ibiza is known for offering solid safety features for a compact hatchback. Ibiza features multiple airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), anti-lock braking system (ABS), and, on newer models, advanced driver assistance systems such as lane departure warning and automatic emergency braking. The car has received good safety ratings in European crash tests (Euro NCAP), often scoring high in adult and child protection. With its robust structural design and advanced safety technology, the 2026 SEAT Ibiza offers reliable protection for driver and passengers, making it a safe choice for city and everyday driving.
