The driver has an unobstructed view of the road and has wide-opening rear doors to make it easy to get in and out of the Forester. There are two full LATCH connectors for the rear exterior seats. There is also a connecting anchor and one lower anchor for the rear seat of the woodsman, and the middle seat can take the lower anchor from the rear seat of the passengers. The Institute of Motor Vehicle Safety Insurance gave this installation the highest rating of Good +, indicating that it is the easiest and most versatile to use.

It has almost 8.7 inches of ground clearance, which, along with features such as hill control and X-mode traction enhancement, is able to overcome the Forester’s light trails.
