The 2025 Ferrari Roma is a large touring car from the Italian manufacturer Ferrari. The Ferrari Roma has a front-mid-engine, rear-wheel drive layout with a turbocharged V8 engine and a 2+2 seating arrangement. The Ferrari Roma is based on the Ferrari Portofino; The car sits between the Portofino and the F8 Tributo in Ferrari’s sports car range. The exterior design is influenced by the Ferrari 250 GT Lusso and 250 GT 2+2 grand touring cars. The design features of the Roma include recessed door handles, slim LED lights front and rear, and an active rear spoiler that sits flush when the car is driven gently.

The car’s design won a Red Dot award; The cabin is equipped with an almost completely digital interface. While the Roma has back seats, mostly there in spirit rather than actual use, it feels surprisingly roomy inside. This quarter-million-dollar Ferrari will use hundreds of its prancing horses to summon the butterflies in your stomach. There are six wheel options available, and we think the darker matte Grigio Corsa wheels look sharp with equally dark paint.

Interior color options are virtually endless, available in both monochrome and two-tone motifs with Rosso Ferrari leather trim. There’s no wrong choice here, other than Nero black, which feels too corporate. A new convertible Spider variant is being added. Ferrari introduced the Roma Spider, which will replace the Ferrari Portofino. Based on the successful Ferrari Roma, the new Spider model has an opening roof. This marks the return of the soft top for a front-engine Ferrari after 54 years since the 1969 365 GTS4. Ferrari claims the sunroof adds just 185 pounds to the coupe, rising and falling in just 13.5 seconds at speeds up to 37 mph.

In the interior, luxury materials are blended with a unique layout. Each front-seat passenger is enveloped in a large instrument panel that extends into the doors and floating center console. The driver faces a huge sixteen-inch all-digital display cluster that responds to tactile controls on the Roma’s button-heavy, flat-bottomed steering wheel. A pair of rear seats make it a 2+2 coupe, and as long as the front seats are adjusted appropriately, the space is suitable for short-term adults.

Unlike most other Ferrari models, the Roma has a roomy center section, but don’t expect plenty of interior storage space. Regardless of the demeanor of the iconic Prancing Horse logo, the Roma looks more like a grand tourer than a focused athletics star. As a result, it offers passengers more infotainment and connectivity features than other Ferrari models. This includes a vertically mounted 8.4-inch touchscreen, as well as a separate screen for the front passenger.

2025 Ferrari Roma : Engine

The Ferrari Roma is powered by a turbocharged 3.9-liter V-8 engine that produces 612 horsepower and 561 pound-feet of torque. It’s mated to the eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT) first seen in the even more exotic Ferrari SF90 Stradale. You can enjoy the Ferrari both while cruising calmly and racing through winding corners. Its high-revving V-8 produces great sounds, and the DCT adapts quickly to quick-shifting demands, especially when you turn the drive mode dial to Sport or Race. The forced induction air intake system uses twin parallel water-cooled turbochargers and two air-to-air intercoolers. However, Roma has the opportunity to take a drive on our 75 mph highway fuel economy route, which is part of our comprehensive testing regime.

2025 Ferrari Roma : Safety

The Rome offers a variety of advanced assistants, and driver-assistance technology is often an afterthought in ultra-expensive sports cars. Rome’s crash test results are available on the websites of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). Key 2025 Ferrari Roma safety features include blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane departure warning.
