The 2027 Fisker Ronin is a high-performance, all-electric, four-door convertible produced by Fisker Automotive. The 2027 Fisker Ronin is designed as the world’s first five-seat, four-door convertible. The Ronin features a three-cylinder engine that aims for over 1,000 horsepower, a 0-60 mph (0-100 km/h) acceleration time of around 2 seconds, and a world-class range of 600 miles (965 km) thanks to its cell-to-chassis battery design.

Fisker Ronin‘s exterior design is defined by a retractable carbon fiber hardtop, 23-inch carbon fiber wheels, and rear butterfly doors for easy access to the cabin. Priced at $385,000, the Fisker aims to be the brand’s flagship model. Fisker Ronin’s main competitors include high-performance electric cars and convertibles such as the Maserati GranCabrio Folgore, Tesla Roadster, Lucid Air Sapphire, and Polestar 6.

2027 Fisker Ronin : Interior

Inside, the 2027 Ronin is designed as a high-tech and sustainable safety haven with a minimalist salon-like aesthetic that prioritizes comfort and environmental features. Fisker Ronin featured a high-resolution 17.1-inch touchscreen, which served as a central control center; this screen was complemented by an instrument panel integrated directly into the steering wheel to enhance the driving experience. In keeping with the brand’s commitment to sustainability, the cabin utilized recycled plastics, vegan leather alternatives, and distinctive light-emitting fabrics, all illuminated by custom ambient lighting that spanned the width of the instrument panel.

The Fisker Ronin is unique as the world’s first five-seat electric convertible, offering a large touring layout despite its low profile. Access to the rear seats was made easier by custom-designed butterfly rear doors that opened up and out from the front doors, creating a wide, pillar-free entryway. The retractable carbon hardtop was designed to be retractable without compromising any cargo space. However, the interior was focused on providing a better, more spacious experience for all five passengers, rather than on efficiency.

2027 Fisker Ronin : Engine

The Fisker Ronin, a fully electric vehicle, does not have a traditional internal combustion engine; instead, it uses an advanced three-wheel drive powertrain. This configuration was designed to produce over 1,000 horsepower (approximately 1,014 ps or 745 kW), enabling the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph in a targeted time of 2.0 seconds. To match this high power output, the Ronin was designed to have a top speed of 170 mph (275 km/h) and features active aerodynamics to maximize efficiency and stability during high-speed driving.

The engine of the Ronin’s endurance is its unique cell-to-chassis battery design, which integrates the battery cells directly into the aluminum space frame, thereby reducing weight and maximizing space. This battery construction approach was essential to Fisker’s ambitious goal of achieving a range of 600 miles (about 965 kilometers) on a single charge, making it the longest range of any mass-produced electric vehicle at the time of its launch. Instead of using a traditional heavy base package, engineers aimed to distribute the battery’s weight throughout the vehicle’s body structure, maintaining a low center of gravity and providing the agile handling expected of a high-performance grand tourer.

2027 Fisker Ronin : Safety

The Fisker Ronin’s safety was designed around a unique aluminum space frame and a visible “B-pillar” design to ensure structural integrity and side impact protection despite its pillarless, four-door convertible design. The Fisker Ronin GT planned to feature the Fisker Intelligent Pilot package, an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) that uses the world’s first 4D digital imaging radar capable of detecting vehicles from 200 meters away and pedestrians from 80 meters away. This safety package would have included active features such as automatic emergency braking, automatic steering assist, and a 360-degree surround view system. However, because the 2027 Fisker Ronin was canceled before production began, it is not officially safety tested by organizations such as NHTSA or Euro NCAP.
