2026 Renault Trafic
The 2026 Renault Trafic will also be available as a new, all-electric model called the Trafic E-Tech. The 2026 Renault Trafic will be available in dealerships in the United Kingdom by the end of 2026. The Renault Trafic truck is built on a modular skateboard platform developed in collaboration with Volvo and CMA CGM. The 2026 Renault Trafic’s design maximizes interior luggage space by placing the battery under the floor and the powertrain at the rear.
The initial models will be rear-wheel drive, with all-wheel drive expected in the future. The Trafic E-Tech comes with a unique design with a unique front end, with an iconic logo and light strip. The rear spoiler with deflectors improves aerodynamics. The L1 model has a luggage compartment of 5.1 cubic meters, while the L2 has 5.8 cubic meters. The 2026 Renault Trafic will come with a new driver assistance system (ADAS) for enhanced safety.
2026 Renault Trafic : Interior
The 2026 Renault Trafic E-Tech features a redesigned, technology-focused cabin that prioritizes ergonomics, comfort, and digital connectivity, setting it apart from previous models. Built on a 100% new electric platform, the vehicle’s interior is modern and intuitive, with a tubular dashboard design and durable, recycled materials. A key enhancement is the digital instrument cluster, which includes a 10-inch driver-facing instrument cluster and a 12-inch central display for improved visibility and ease of use.
The 12-inch center display offers a seamless and connected experience with wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and integrated Google services and navigation apps. The navigation system is designed for commercial vehicles, considering the truck’s size and weight to avoid unnecessary routes. Ampere’s new software operating system allows fleet managers to send route information and integrates with third-party software, such as temperature control for refrigerator conversion. Over-the-air (OTA) updates are also enabled, ensuring the vehicle’s software remains up-to-date throughout its lifespan.

The key strengths of the Renault Traffic interior are functionality and storage. The cabin offers a wide range of storage options, including open and closed compartments in the dashboard, overhead shelves, and a large tray under the passenger seat. A “Mobile Office” feature, where the center seat folds down to become a workspace with a removable dashboard, is available on some trim levels. The driver’s seat offers improved ergonomics with height and lumbar adjustment, while passenger versions feature removable second and third-row seats for flexible seating and luggage needs. The interior has been revamped, and features such as keyless entry and hands-free access are available on higher trim levels.
2026 Renault Trafic : Engine
The electric Trafic is powered with a 150 kW (204 hp) motor producing 345 Nm of torque. This motor runs on a fully electric skateboard platform that reduces front and rear movement, increasing luggage space. Buyers can choose from two battery options, a standard Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, providing an estimated range of 350 km (217 miles) on WLTP, and an extended range battery, responsible a WLTP range of up to 450 km (280 miles). The E-Tech model features advanced 800-volt technology, the first in Europe to offer fast charging in a commercial vehicle. This technology allows the battery to charge from 15% to 80% in 20 minutes when using a DC fast charger. The truck also supports Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G), allowing operators to power external equipment or send power to the electrical grid.
2026 Renault Trafic : Safety
The 2026 Renault Trafic offers a wide range of safety features that contribute to its Gold safety rating from ANCAP. These features reflect a strong focus on Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and new post-crash techniques. Standard ADAS includes Active Emergency Braking, which detects vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists, Lane Departure Warning, and Intelligent Speed Assist with Traffic Sign Recognition. Higher trim levels and E-Tech electric models can offer Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Blind Spot Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, and a 360-degree camera system. The van also includes standard passive safety features such as front airbags and benefits from innovations under Renault’s “People First Program.” This includes a “QR Rescue Code” for first responders and a “Firefighter Access” port on the E-Tech version for enhanced battery safety.
