The 2022 Mini Cooper JCW (John Cooper Works) is a British car brand currently owned by BMW and used in Mini vehicles. The 2022 John Cooper Works models take the standard Hardtop and Convertible Coopers and boost the heat. Both body styles feature four different cylindrical housings with 228 horsepower under the hood, but only the Hardtop offers a manual transmission. Convertible buyers will have to deal with an eight-speed automatic transmission at Hardtop. The 2022 Mini JCW team also massaged the suspension of the car to improve the Mini’s quick chassis.

The Series Mini Mini will update several styles for 2022, including a different grille, redesigned front and rear bumpers, and new wheel design. The larger 8.8-inch entertainment system inside is now standard and has an updated interface. A traffic warning is also included in the equipment list, and the digital display indicator replaces the old analog block.

The Mini 2022 JCW Hardtop is equipped with LED headlights, fog lights, rain-sensitive shut-off devices, heated and power-adjustable side windows and a rear spoiler. It’s stick to the six-speed manual transmission, but move on to the Signature Trim kit, which adds a panoramic sunroof, heated front seats and two-zone automatic climate control.

2022 Mini Cooper JCW : Interior

Inside, the 2022 Mini JCW cabin is equipped with high quality materials as well as whimsical design elements such as a circular frame with a touch screen of the entertainment system. Compared to other subcompacts, the Mini doesn’t rank as high when it comes to utilities. The rear seat foot space is dense; most adults feel cramped. On the Hardtop, this Mini carries nine cubic feet of cargo behind its rear seats and carries 34 cubic feet with them. The Chevrolet Sonic hatchback competes in this class and offers 19 cubic feet with all seats and 48 cubic feet with rear cubicles.

All 2022 Mini JCWs are equipped with a SiriusXM satellite radio, a six-speaker stereo and an 8.8-inch entertainment display with Bluetooth phone and streaming audio. Optional equipment lists include a premium Harman / Kardon sound system, fast navigation, Apple CarPlay smartphone integration, and wireless charging for your devices. Unfortunately, Android Auto is not available.

2022 Mini Cooper JCW : Engine

The Mini Cooper 2022 JCW is powered by a 220-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four. The only transmission for the convertible is an eight-speed automatic, while Hardtop buyers have a choice between this or a six-speed manual. In our track tests, the JCW Hardtop running with a slush-box reached a top speed of 60 mph in 6.0 seconds. But the Hyundai Veloster N did the same run in 5.4 seconds, and the auto-equipped Volkswagen GTI drove it in 5.8 seconds. Compared to the standard Mini Cooper, the JCW Brembo brings features such as more aggressive suspension and electronic locking front differential.

All of this helps to ensure precise processing, which will delight fans. However, the resolute suspension of this Mini can lead to unpleasant dizziness while driving on rough roads. JCW’s fuel economy calculations vary depending on body style and transmission. The best fuel-saving combination is the Hardtop, which works with an eight-speed automatic. We still haven’t tested the JCW model in the 200-mile car fuel-saving direction, but when we were with the JCW Hardtop, we observed 25 mpg in mixed driving.

2022 Mini Cooper JCW : Safety

The Mini Cooper JCW comes with driver assistance features that help you avoid accidents. However, blind observations were not included. For more information on JCW’s crash test results, visit the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Traffic Safety Insurance Institute (IIHS) websites. Key 2022 Mini Cooper JCW safety features include adaptive cruise control, direction of movement, and emergency braking.
