The 2021 Hummer HX is a two-door off-road compact SUV showcased by General Motors at the North American International Motor Show. The Hummer HX is an SUV that moves in its hull, in the body, in the rear wheel. The young designers offered the Hummer grille a modern look, and the concept features a standard built-in vintage, full body protection, and 35-inch tires.

2021 Hummer HX Design

The goal of the 2021 HX Concept car project was to sell Hummer brand vehicles in smaller and lower price SUV market segments. The HX features a desert-inspired matte olive paint scheme, featured with flexible configurations, and removable composite grille lights with removable doors with hinged pins and quarter-turn fast fasteners. The exterior matte olive color was also applied to the panels covered with metal plates on the inside. The floor was a rubberized material.

The Hummer 2021 HX has four seats, the second row has a pair of bucket-type seats. The rear seats are removed to allow access to the luggage compartment. The console has a section for phones and MP3 players that don’t have a regular radio, only built-in speakers and a connector for digital players or similar devices. Three designers, graduates of the College of Creative Research, which is new to General Motors, Robert Jablonski, South Korean-born Kang Min-young, and Peruvian-born David Rojas were involved in the development of the Hummer HX 2021 model.

Inside, the center console is a recognizable feature that incorporates a variable, giant handle and a giant arm that looks like an aircraft cockpit. The four seats have a helicopter theme: thin and light and designed to look good when the doors are removed. A shovel is mounted on the front passenger seat; there is a flashlight and a first aid kit next to the driver. The giant aluminum instrument panel mounted on an open sleeper features removable storage and re-adjustable LCD displays with a variety of information when the vehicle is on or off the road.

2021 Hummer HX Engine

The 2021 Hummer HX is powered by a 3.6-liter, direct-injection V-6 from the Cadillac CTS, which produces 304 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. The 2008 HX show car was smaller than the H2 and H3 models. The V6 engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The HX has shared body frame design with other Hummers, front and rear independent suspensions, four-wheel disc brakes and all-wheel drive.

2021 Hummer HX Electric

The Hummer HX has never been produced through GM, but MEV has acquired exclusive rights to the Hummer HX brand. The MEV produces the Hummer HX as a small electric vehicle with similar proportions to the original HX concept, but it is much smaller and designed as a spa vehicle or a golf cart. It uses a 72V drive system, powers an AC-free motor, and delivers 60+ miles and a maximum speed of 19mph. Hummer will also produce the Hummer HXT, a softer version of their 2021 Hummer HX MEV.
