The 2024 Honda Insight is a hybrid sedan manufactured and marketed by Honda. The 2024 Honda Insight is smooth and enjoyable to drive, has high mpg ratings, and a comfortable interior. The 2025 Honda Insight shares many of the best aspects of the Honda Civic while delivering more than 50 mpg. The 2024 Honda Insight is a small hybrid sedan that comes in two trim levels: EX and Touring. The 2024 Honda Insight is the spiritual successor to the Honda Civic hybrid. Similar in size and shape to Honda’s compact sedan, but with an efficient gas-electric powertrain under the hood, the Insight is like a Honda Civic that’s quieter at low speeds and delivers better mpg. Many of the Civic’s best features are present here, including a comfortable ride, a pleasant interior, and precise steering. Basic LX hardware is no longer available. This means that the series started with the more equipped and more expensive EX, while the top Touring model remained unchanged.
2024 Honda Insight : Interior
The interior of the cabin symbolizes Honda’s mastery of the use of space. There’s plenty of head and elbow room for the front passengers. In the back, headroom is comfortable for taller adults, but there’s a good amount of toes. Insight is functional and well-designed with clear and well-labeled controls. Using the transmission select buttons is a little more distracting than moving a traditional shift lever, but you’ll get used to them. Front visibility is good, although the wide rear roof pillars and long aft deck create some blind spots at the rear.

Honda’s infotainment display is fast, sharp, and easy to use. The physical shortcut buttons on the left side of the screen are also useful. While Honda’s integration with both is excellent, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto make smartphone integration less of a priority. The Insight isn’t quite as cargo-friendly as the Prius, but it’s still pretty useful. The extremely deep cargo hold has a capacity of about 15 cubic feet, and the 60/40 split rear seat can be folded down via levers in the trunk.

2024 Insighty Hybrid batteries are located under the rear seat and do not interfere with boot space. A well-thought-out center console is the most important part of in-cab storage. The space is deep and provides exceptional volume. For kids, the Insight has car seat anchors on the back that are easily accessible under the fabric fastener wings, and there’s ample space for car seats.

The combined system output is 151 horsepower. Its combination of a gas engine and electric motors provides a total of 151 horsepower that accelerates the Insight from zero to 100 km/h in 7.7 seconds. It can run with the electric motor alone for about a mile at low speeds but demands quick acceleration and the petrol engine engages smoothly. The EPA estimates the Insight gets 48 to 52 mpg in combined driving. This is among the highest fuel economy of any car you can buy. Encouragingly, it’s observed 50.5 mpg on our 115-mile evaluation route, which suggests the EPA’s figures apply to real-world driving.

All Insights comes with a comprehensive driver assistance package called Honda Sensing. The key safety features of the 2024 Honda Insight model are forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, automatic braking, and lane-keeping assist.
