2025 GMC Yukon

The 2025 GMC Yukon or 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe is a line of full-size SUVs and other trucks from General Motors. The 2025 GMC Yukon and long-wheelbase Yukon XL look a lot like the Chevy Tahoe and Suburban. The full-size Yukon lives up to its Chevy counterparts and provides the same passenger and cargo-carrying capabilities but is designed to reflect a more ostentatious lifestyle. There are three rows of seats inside and it can fit up to eight passengers. Fairly luxurious high-end pricing, even the Denali and Denali Ultimate versions of the Yukon don’t match the opulence displayed by the Cadillac Escalade or Lincoln Navigator

2025 GMC Yukon Denali Interior

. The base engine is a 355-hp V-8, but a larger 420-hp V-8 is available for best fuel economy, choose the turbodiesel inline-six with an EPA-estimated 27 mpg. The Yukon and Yukon XL instead shine as slightly upgraded versions of their Chevrolet siblings in mid-range SLT and AT4 trims. The tough AT4, with its rugged looks and off-road equipment, and the luxurious Denali, with its hand-stitched leather interior, look the most interesting. The one to choose is the well-equipped and more affordable SLT. The mid-range model comes with the features most buyers are looking for, including leather upholstery, heated and cooled front seats, 20-inch wheels, a power liftgate, and driver-assist features.

2025 GMC Yukon : Interior

Available in a variety of flavors from the base SLE specification to the luxurious Denali Ultimate, the Yukon and long-wheelbase Yukon XL promise seating for up to eight passengers, although ordering the popular second-row captain’s chairs will reduce total seating capacity to seven. Denali models offer a unique interior design with a wood-trimmed instrument panel and hand-stitched leather upholstery. All 2025 Yukon models come with a large infotainment screen with GMC’s latest infotainment interface, and we found the system easy to use. SLE, SLT, and AT4 models feature a tall screen in the center of the dash, but the Denali’s is surrounded by shiny chrome and set into the dash for a more sophisticated look.

2025 GMC Yukon XL

Apple CarPlay/Android Auto integration and Wi-Fi hotspot are standard equipment, and navigation and Bose audio system are optional features. Cargo capacity is generous, especially in the larger XL model, which offers a whopping 145 cubic feet of maximum cargo space with all seats stowed. That’s more than its intercity rival, the Ford Expedition Max, standard-length Yukon provided enough room for six carry-on bags behind the third-row seats.

2025 GMC Yukon : Engine

GMC Yukon comes with multi-power options, 355-hp 5.3-liter and a 420-hp 6.2-liter.  GMC also offers a 3.0-liter turbodiesel inline-six that produces a whopping 460 pound-feet of torque and is the choice of buyers looking to tow heavy items. All models come with a 10-speed automatic transmission operated by buttons on the dash and are available with rear- or all-wheel drive. An off-road-focused AT4 model is also available and includes a two-speed transfer case, 20-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, underbody skid plates, and an optional air suspension that can offer two inches more ground clearance.

The Chevrolet Tahoe / GMC Yukon’s maximum towing capacity is 8,400 pounds, a rear-wheel-drive model with a 5.3-liter V-8. The 6.2-liter Yukon’s maximum trailer rating is 8,300 pounds, while the Duramax diesel isn’t far behind at 8,200 pounds. Adding all-wheel drive drops those ratings by 200 pounds overall. Yukon is equipped with the smaller 5.3-liter V-8 the most efficient gasoline-powered model, earning ratings of 16 mpg city, 20 mpg highway, and 18 mpg combined. The turbo-diesel engine is predictably more efficient, earning ratings of up to 21 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway.

2025 GMC Yukon : Safety

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave the GMC Yukon an overall safety score of four out of five, with four stars on the front crash test, five stars on the side,3-stars  rollover test.
