The 2020 Dodge Challenger is a five-passenger, two-door door available in five basic levels: SXT, GT, R / T, R / T Scat Pack, and SRT Hellcat. Wheelchair driving is standard, and all-wheel drive is available on SXT and GT trims. The 2020 Dodge SXT starts with a 3.6-liter V6 engine compared to an 8-speed automatic transmission. You get a good number of standard features, including keyless entry and entry, an adjustable driver’s seat, and Dodge’s Uconnect infotainment system with a 7-inch touch system and Apple CarPlay / Android Auto.
2020 Dodge Challenger Features
The 2020 GT dresses things up a bit with display styles taken from V8-powered trim levels. It saves the Powertrain power available on the SXT and adds an upgraded interior edge, remote start, and rear parking sensors. All-wheel drive is optional for SXT and GT. The R / T is similarly mounted on the GT, but pulls out the V6 engine with the V7-liter V8 (372 hp, 400 lb-ft) and comes standard with six-speed manual transmission.
The 2020 R/T Scat Pack increases the power of the ante with a 6.4-liter V8 (485 hp, 475 lb-ft). It also comes with some standard features such as the 8.4-inch touchscreen, heated seats, heated steering wheel, and software performance improvements as a startup control. At the top of the food pack lies an SRT Hellcat. There is a supercharged 6.8-liter V8 (717 hp, 656 lb-ft) and a six-speed manual or 8-speed automatic transmission to power. Dodge also adds great brakes, exterior style changes and adjustable suspension to the standard equipment mix.
All the 2020 Dodge Challengers are available with a myriad of options, including graphics packages, hood scoops, leather seats, audio reviews, and driving services. The Widebody kit, adding, among other improvements, wide-angle fenders for wider wheels and tires, is available on the R / T Scat Pack and Hellcats.
2020 Dodge Challenger Interior
The Challenger 2020 model has an interior muscle car, with a simple design inspired by its 1970s-era predecessors and comfortable living space. Compared to its pony-car rivals, the Dodge is far more compact inside and adults can use the back seat. Unfortunately, its rubber material is more like old vinyl than premium plastic, and its rear sight is a bit confusing. Challenger’s wide front seats are free to sail, but even the optional seats, which they have added, do not keep their individual as they are on the Camaro or Mustang. The Dodge’s pony car has another seven feet of the car carrying its load on its trunk and the Camaro. This allowed the Challenger to swallow two additional luggage bags with an active rear seat and six more than the folded Camaro on the floor.
The Challenger has a large console and a nice smartphone area. However, none of the cars we tested in this class were capable of storing small items. 2020 Dodge Challenger Engine
The Dodge starts with 3.6-liter V-6 versions of the Challenger SXT and Challenger GT and most commonly makes 305 hp and 268 lb-ft. Posted by an automatic transmission with 8, SXT and GT models enable back or optional all four wheels. Power is enough to satisfy most consumers, but also enough to luxury the V-8, too. The Challenger’s V-8 menu starts with a 5.7-liter R / Ts that produces 375 hp and 410 lb-ft. That power is delivered via a 6-speed manual or optional 8-speed automatic to the rear wheels only. There is enough twist, but the best trick for R / T is its deep burble. The R / T Scat Pack replaces the 6.4-liter V-8 with 485 hp and 476 lb-ft of torque, compatible with a 6-speed or 8-speed auto. Speed is blurred: 4.4 seconds to 60 mph in the R / T Scat Pack.
2020 Dodge Challenger Safety
The 2020 Challenger received a four-star rating on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and standard ratings from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).
