The Aston Martin DB12 is more powerful than the current DB11. The DB11 features increased chassis rigidity, intelligent adaptive dampers, a non-isolated steering column, and, for the first time in an Aston Martin GT model, an electronic rear differential (E-Diff). These improvements provide a more agile and engaging driving experience while maintaining the comfort of a grand tourer. The old Mercedes-Benz infotainment system in the DB11 has been replaced with an all-new, in-house-designed Aston Martin system.

Inside, the 2026 Aston Martin DB11 is looking for the current Aston Martin DB12, which offers significantly different technological and design features than the current DB11 interior. The DB12 cabin retains Aston Martin’s signature luxury, enhanced by premium materials such as full-grain leather, Alcantara, and carbon fiber or wood trim. However, the architecture has been completely modernized to deliver a more driver-focused and premium experience. At the heart of the DB12’s updated interior is an all-new, in-house-developed infotainment system, a departure from the legacy Mercedes-Benz features found in the DB11.

The Aston Martin DB11 is driven by a centrally mounted 10.25-inch touchscreen featuring full capacitive touch control, supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Despite the digital imprint, Aston Martin designers have cleverly retained dedicated physical controls for critical functions such as heating and ventilation, gear selection, and drive mode override, balancing modern technology with tactile luxury and usability. The seats are supportive and comfortable for grand touring, and the overall interior design offers a more contemporary and luxurious ambiance than its predecessor.

2026 Aston Martin DB11 : Engine

The 2026 Aston Martin DB11 is powered by a significantly revised 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine from Mercedes-AMG, producing 671 horsepower and 790 Nm of torque. This increase in performance over the previous DB11 V8 is achieved through larger turbochargers, optimized compression ratios, and improved cooling. For the 2026 model year, Aston Martin introduced a more powerful DB12 S version, increasing power from the same 4.0-liter V8 engine to 690 horsepower while maintaining torque at 790 Nm. Both V8 versions are paired with a rear-mounted 8-speed automatic transmission, and the ‘S’ model features a revised calibration for faster shifts. It’s noteworthy that Aston Martin no longer offers a V12 engine in the standard DB Grand Tourer lineup.

2026 Aston Martin DB11: Safety

Standard passive safety features include dual-stage driver and passenger front airbags, curtain side head airbags, knee airbags, pelvic and thorax airbags, and seatbelt pretensioners. In terms of active safety and driver assistance systems, the Aston Martin DB12 range includes standard features such as automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go function, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, blind spot assist, rear cross-traffic assist, traffic sign recognition, driver attention assist, automatic high beams, and a 360-degree surround-view camera system.
