This massive powerplant delivered 624 horsepower and 605 pound-feet of torque, with torque slightly increased to 642 pound-feet in later Black Badge models. It was mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission that used GPS data to predict upcoming road conditions and select the appropriate gear. The result was “effortless acceleration” and smooth acceleration that could propel the car from 0 to 100 mph in just over four seconds, while maintaining the brand’s signature “magic carpet ride.”

The Rolls-Royce Wraith’s safety technology is focused on preventing and assisting drivers. Key features of the Rolls-Royce Wraith include a night vision camera that can detect pedestrians and animals up to 300 feet away and project the image onto a dash-mounted display. A 360-degree camera system helps with parking and steering, while lane departure warning and adaptive cruise control were standard or available. However, unlike mass-market cars, the Rolls-Royce Wraith has not been crash-tested by organizations such as the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) or the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), and therefore does not have an official safety rating.
