RAM
Ram Trucks, stylized as RAM and formerly known as the Ram Truck Division, is an American brand of light to medium trucks and other commercial vehicles and a division of Stellantis. RAM was founded in 2010 using the name of the Ram Pickup truck lineup as a spin-off from Dodge.
The slightly renamed vehicles have not changed and therefore Ram trucks and vehicles are well suited for both work and play. The name Ram was first used on Dodge’s then-redesigned pickup trucks in 1981. Previously, Dodge pickups had more typical naming conventions, with a letter denoting the drivetrain and numbers denoting capacity. For example, the Dodge D150 was a two-wheel drive half-ton pickup, while the Dodge W150 was a four-wheel drive half-ton pickup.

Although the Dodge RAM offers similar cabin styles, powertrain options, and features to its Ford and Chevy rivals, it has always followed suit in the sales race. Aggressive styling — featuring a big rig-style grille and flared fenders, was a big factor in the Ram’s increased appeal. Highlights of this generation included the launch of the popular Quad Cab with reverse-opening rear doors that make it easy to load passengers and cargo. Quad Cab also pointed to the increasing use of pickup trucks as everyday drivers and family vehicles.
The current version of the Ram 1500 was launched in 2009 and features a unique coil spring rear suspension as well as a greatly improved interior. The latter offers particularly refined handling and driving characteristics compared to the more traditional leaf spring arrangement used by Ram’s competitors. In addition to the popular full-size Ram pickup line detailed above, the Ram brand includes the mid-size Dakota pickup as well as the Dodge Grand Caravan-based Ram C/V.
In our opinion, the Ram 1500 is the best pickup truck with its high-tech equipment, including a hybrid drivetrain. If you need a heavy-duty performer, the RAM 2500 and RAM 3500; are properly equipped, they can tow more than 35,000 pounds. The RAM ProMaster van is for tradesmen such as plumbers and contractors, while the dimensions of the ProMaster City are perfect for urban scenarios.
