Lexus GS : Interior

The Lexus GS 300 has a spacious cabin that gives the driver and front passenger space to lie down. The impressive amount of leg and shoulder room easily accommodates long legs and broad shoulders. The cabin is equipped with rich wood trim and photosensitive displays in chrome-ringed partitions. The material quality is excellent and everything is assembled with precision. Another nice touch is the hidden controls, which are now a testament to the legendary Lexus’ attention to detail. Company designers have hidden many of the less-used secondary controls, such as the power mirror switches and interior light dimmer, in a retracting panel hidden in the instrument cluster to the left of the steering wheel.

Lexus GS : Engine

The 2024 GS 300 uses a 3.0-liter light alloy V6 that produces 245 horsepower. The Lexus GS 300 shines on the open road. Its quiet cabin, without any noise, harshness, or vibration, is a portrait of serenity. During modest cornering, the chassis is solid, and the multi-link suspension keeps the tires firmly on the ground at all times. Compared to the faster Lexus GS 430, the V6 car is faster and more stable on its feet. Of course, it doesn’t pull as hard as the V8, but you might not care as long as you don’t drive them back-to-back.

Lexus GS : Safety

The Lexus safety equipment includes front seat-mounted side airbags, full-length head curtain airbags, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist, traction control, and stability control. The optional 2024 Lexus GS collision avoidance system, which comes with dynamic radar cruise control, uses a millimeter wave radar sensor and a computer that reads vehicle speed, yaw rate, and steering angle to detect obstacles in front of the vehicle. If the computer determines that a collision is unavoidable, it pre-stiffs the suspension, retracts the front seat belts, and initiates BrakeAssist, so more brakes are applied the moment the brake pedal is depressed.
