The 2025 Honda Prologue is an all-electric midsize SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) from Honda. Prologue is a joint venture between Honda and General Motors and is designed to be a stylish, sporty, and spacious electric vehicle. The 2025 Honda Prologue has a standard EPA range of 296 miles, the highest in its class. Prologue was jointly developed by Honda and General Motors and is based on GM’s Ultium platform. The Prologue will come in multiple trims, including Prologue EX, Prologue Touring, and Prologue Elite.

The Elite trim will feature all-wheel drive, while other trims will have the option of front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The 2025 Prologue has a sporty driving experience, a technology-rich cabin, ample space, LED headlights, and taillights, and comes standard with front-wheel drive. All-wheel drive, with a maximum towing capacity of 5,000 pounds, is also available as an option. According to EPA estimates, the Prologue will have a range of up to 300 miles on a full charge. The estimated capacity of the battery used will be 85 kWh.

Inside, the Prologue is equipped with an 11.3-inch touch screen and an 11-inch digital display screen. All models support wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A wireless smartphone charger is also available. The Prologue is the first Honda SUV to offer Google-built-in infotainment technology, introduced alongside the Touring trim of the Honda Accord. This feature is standard on all Prologue hardware and includes apps like Google Maps and Google Assistant. A 12-speaker Bose premium audio system is standard on Touring and Elite trims.

Styling cues in the Prologue’s cabin are in line with the design direction suggested by Honda vehicles such as the Honda Civic, Honda Accord, Honda Pilot, Honda HR-V, and Honda CR-V. Honda Prologue look is sporty and contemporary, with large knobs and knobs that are easy to identify. The rear seats can be reclined to make rear seat occupants more comfortable. The Prologue provides 136.9 cubic feet of interior space. All models have heated front seats to keep you warm in winter weather. Touring and Elite models feature a panoramic moonroof with a retractable sunshade. Honda’s Prologue provides up to 25.2 cubic feet of storage space behind the rear seats. All models feature 60/40-split rear seats; With these seats folded, you get up to 57.7 cubic feet of cargo capacity, and there is a hidden nook under the floor of the cargo area that adds 0.5 cubic feet of storage space.

2025 Honda Prologue : Engine

Honda will offer the 2025 Prologue in single- and dual-motor powertrain configurations.  The dual-motor all-wheel-drive Prologues produce 288 horsepower and 333 pound-feet of torque. Honda has not released the output for the front-wheel drive version. All models have battery packs with a capacity of 85 kWh and can travel 300 miles with a fully charged battery.

The Prologue charges at speeds of up to 155 kW with DC fast charging. Honda says the EV’s 85 kWh lithium-ion battery pack makes up for 65 miles of range in about 10 minutes. The EPA estimates that the most efficient Prologue models are the front-wheel-drive versions of the EX and Touring trims; Both are rated up to 107 MPGe city points.

All 2025 Prologue EVs have the Honda Sensing system as standard equipment. This system includes forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, traffic sign recognition, and driver attention monitoring. Prologue also provides blind zone steering assist, rear cross-traffic braking, and rear pedestrian alert. Crash test results will be available on the websites of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). 2025 Honda Prologue safety features include blind spot monitoring, lane keep assist, pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and automatic emergency braking.
