The 2025 Buick LaCrosse is a full-size luxury sedan produced by the American automaker Buick. The 2025 Buick LaCrosse is available in base 1SV, Preferred, Essence, Sport Touring, Premium, and Avenir trim levels. The 2025 LaCrosse is known for its comfortable ride, spacious interior, and a range of features that cater to the luxury sedan market. The Buick LaCrosse has a plush ride, heavily padded seats, and a roomy interior that provides plenty of comfort, but its casual driving dynamics take over the role of being the near-luxury sedan of choice for the uninvolved driver.

The technology offerings are extensive, and driver assistance technology is a strong performer here too. The LaCrosse is a generously designed large sedan with a roomy cabin and a long list of features, but it’s the classic Buick smoothness that may keep it off some shopping lists. The LaCrosse base comes standard with 18-inch wheels, automatic xenon headlights, fog lights, heated mirrors, rear parking sensors, rearview camera, keyless ignition and entry, remote ignition, dual-zone automatic climate control, simulated leather upholstery, eight-way.

The interior aims for a middle ground between luxury and mainstream cars. But there’s too much plastic and the interior isn’t as open or spacious as rivals offer. The front openings are large and square, but the high sill creates a splash. Ample rear legroom makes it easy to step in, except in tight parking spaces where the taller rear doors cannot be opened far enough. Adult passengers will have to duck under the sloping roofline in the rear. The armrests on both sides of the driver are high enough for the driver to use, making you feel safe in the car and more comfortable on long journeys. The seat offers plenty of adjustability for riders of different sizes. Some center console controls may be easy to reach for long-legged drivers.

The high, wide center console takes up too much space, affects leg room, and makes the front end appear smaller than it is. There’s plenty of legroom in the backseat, but headroom is lacking for medium-to-tall adults. Generally has less space than other full-size luxury cars. The short rear window partially obstructs the view and makes a rearview camera mandatory. Thick front and side pillars create blind spots, and the small side-view mirrors are of little use without blind-spot monitoring.

The rearmost side window aids over-the-shoulder visibility, there’s a lot of obvious plastic inside the LaCrosse. Most have a soft-touch finish but still have a lot of plastic surface area. The wood trim and seat leather also look a bit plasticky, had an issue with the head-up display not working. The biggest surprise is the limited amount of usable boot space, due to a number of intrusions that leave only a relatively small square of flat flooring. Thanks to the side passage under the center console, there is plenty of space in the cabin for small items.

2025 Buick LaCrosse : Engine

Buick LaCrosse models except the Sport Touring and Avenir come standard with a mild-hybrid powertrain known as eAssist, which features a 2.5-liter four-cylinder, six-speed automatic and a small electric motor that generates 194 horsepower and 187 pound-feet of torque. The 3.6-liter V6 (310 hp, 268 lb-ft) paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission is standard on the Avenir and Sport Touring and optional for the Preferred, Essence, and Premium. Front-wheel drive is standard, Essence, Premium, and Avenir can be equipped with all-wheel drive. The LaCrosse eAssist hybrid has higher EPA fuel economy estimates than the V-6 and even beats the Nissan Maxima. In our 200-mile real-world fuel economy test, the LaCrosse eAssist put some of its rivals back at the gas pumps with a result of 38 mpg. The V-6 is no slouch when it comes to fuel economy either, delivering 31 mpg.

2025 Buick LaCrosse : Safety

In the past, Buick LaCrosse‘s strong crash test results prove that it has a duty to protect passengers in the event of an accident. Unfortunately, headlight performance did not meet expectations in testing by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, preventing it from receiving that organization’s highest rating. 2025 Buick LaCrosse standard and available advanced safety features include adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, rearview camera, forward collision warning, automatic park assist, automatic emergency braking, rear parking sensors, rear cross-traffic alert, seat safety alert, pedestrian detection, following distance indicator, lane departure warning, lane keep assist and head-up display
