2017 Kia Forte 5

Kia Motors America announced today the 2017 Kia Forte 5 along its similarly refreshed sedan brother at the North American International Auto Show. Along with visual improvements to the front and rear, the new 2017 Kia Forte 5 also adds a seven-speed dual clutch gearbox and newly available comfort and driver-assistance features that were previously introduced in the all-new Optima.

2017 Kia Forte 5 Design

While the new Forte5 like design its European-inspired hatchback, it seems clearer than ever for 2017. Like the sedan, to clip highlights the Forte5’s by a wider version of the signature “tiger nose” grille, similar to the one the all-new 2016 Optima. The Kia Forte5 2017 model’s grille committed Redesigned headlights that back in the front fenders sweep, giving the new Kia Forte more road presence than the outgoing model. Around back, revised taillights complete the exterior redesign, and higher trim levels goes a step further with the standard LED daytime running lights and taillights.

2017 Kia Forte5  come with Three trim levels LX, EX, and SX, the entry-level 2017 Forte5 LX is beautifully equipped with features like headlights and remote keyless entry with trunk opener and is now available with Blind Spot Detection3 with Lane Change assist and Rear cross traffic Alerts, as these advanced systems driver assistance is optional across the range. The most changes from previous options, including LED lights, leather seats, heated front seats, push-button start with Smart Key, and perimeter approach lighting with door pocket lighting – are now standard with UVO eServices4.

Kia’s UVO infotainment system offers Android Auto and Apple CarPlayTM (late availability) compatibility and displayed on a 7-inch color touchscreen4. Both platforms allow drivers to stay connected by replicating key smartphone apps and features on the touch screen, allowing them to send text messages, access music, or look up directions while behind the wheel.

2017 Kia Forte 5 SX

The 2017 Kia Forte5 sporty SX trim comes with all that and much more, including 18-inch alloy wheels, unique front and rear buoy with red accents, and could complete double outlet temperatures. Also new for the SX is an orange color Pack, which sporty nature of the SX’s further acknowledge that with orange leather inserts and contrasting stitching on the seats and shifter.

2017 Kia Forte 5 Engine

Under the hood, the 2017 Forte5 comes standard with a 2.0-liter GDI four-cylinder engine, paired with a six-speed manual transmission or an available second-generation six-speed automatic transmission. Maintaining the sports theme in the SX is a sprightly 1.6-liter turbocharged GDI four-cylinder engine now available with a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox is. Power ratings and fuel consumption figures will join the launch of release, while 2017 Koup details will be announced at a later date.
