The 2024 Mahindra XUV500 is a compact crossover SUV manufactured by Indian automaker Mahindra & Mahindra. The XUV500 was designed and developed at Mahindra’s design and vehicle building center in Nashik and Chennai and manufactured at Mahindra’s Chakan & Nashik factory in India. XUV500 is the first monocoque chassis-based vehicle produced by the company.

The XUV500 was replaced by the XUV700, which was planned to be the second generation XUV500 during development. The XUV500 has always been big on assets and features, and the new additions raise the stakes in terms of what to expect from cars in this segment of the market. The increase in output is a welcome addition and is expected to improve the real-world experience of getting where you need to go without too much fuss.

Mahindra XUV500 is available in 6 colors: Crimson Red, Mystic Copper, Volcano Black, Lakeside Brown, Pearl White, and Moondust Silver. The Mahindra XUV500 2024 model will compete with Mahindra XUV700, Mahindra Scorpio-N, Hyundai Alcazar, Mahindra Scorpio Classic, Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, Tata Harrier, Hyundai Creta, and Kia Altos.

The 2024 XUV500 remains unchanged in terms of dimensions, space, feature list, and storage options. The new feeling comes in the form of updating the individual elements of the cabin. In this new best-in-class W11 variant, parts of the dashboard and all armrests are covered in faux leather, while the center console has a piano black finish. You now also get nude leather quilted upholstery and it looks premium.

2024 Mahindra XUV500 : Engine

The Mahindra 2024 XUV500 will be powered by the 2.2-liter mHawk four-cylinder diesel engine that has been powering the XUV range for some time now. The output of the engine has been increased from 140bhp and 320Nm to 155bhp and 360Nm and is available with a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic. The buyer can also run the XUV500 on gasoline. Its 2.2-liter four-cylinder engine also produces 140bhp/320Nm and is only available with a six-speed automatic.
