2026 Audi Q2
The 2026 Audi Q2 e-Tron is a subcompact luxury crossover Sport Utility Vehicle manufactured by the German car manufacturer Audi. The stylish and technologically advanced 2026 Audi Q2 comes with an advanced and aggressive design, a full-width rear light bar, large screens, and a premium interior with an advanced MMI system. These features will place it in the top segment as a luxury city car, and it will probably be launched as an electric Q2 e-tron.

However, some reports offer conflicting information about its long-term future, with production ending in some markets in 2026, positioning it as a significant, well-equipped small crossover. The 2026 Audi Q2 comes with an aggressive front grille (like the Q8), sharp Matrix LED headlights, a full-width rear light bar, and a modern and clean rear design. The Audi Q2 will be equipped with Audi Virtual Cockpit, flat-bottom steering wheel, large entertainment screen, ambient lighting, luxurious materials, dual rear entertainment screens, advanced MMI, enhanced safety, state-of-the-art connectivity features, and possible mild hybrid powertrains.
Audi is expected to offer efficient options, including mild hybrid systems. The all-electric Q2 e-tron is also expected to focus on urban luxury and efficiency. Audi may end the Q2/A1 series in 2026 due to strategic changes. This could make the 2026 model a possible final model or a major refresh before a possible electric transition.
2026 Audi Q2 : Interior
The 2026 Audi Q2 has a high-quality, technology-focused cabin that combines a premium feel with practical design elements. A key feature is Audi’s standard 12.3-inch high-resolution digital instrument panel, which allows drivers to customize the information displays, including a full-screen navigation map within their field of vision. The instrument panel is clean and modern, with an 8.8-inch MMI touchscreen that replaces the previous click controller and now acts as the central control center.
This system includes standard features such as DAB radio, two USB-C ports, and smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The interior is further enhanced by adjustable LED ambient lighting that stretches across the doors and instrument panel, creating a premium ambience. In terms of comfort and materials, the Q2’s cabin boasts a high level of quality with soft surfaces and buttons that respond precisely; reviewers note that it feels more luxurious than some newer Audi models.
Although front passengers have plenty of room, rear legroom and shoulder room can be a bit tight for tall adults, making the Q2 more suitable for younger families or those who mainly use the front seats. The boot offers 405 liters of practical space with the rear seats in the upright position, and the power tailgate is standard on all models.
2026 Audi Q2 : Engine
The 2026 Audi Q2 offers two main turbocharged petrol engine options, depending on market and trim level: a 1.0-litre three-cylinder and a more powerful 1.5-litre four-cylinder. A significant update for some 2026 models, particularly the 1.5 TFSI, includes the addition of mild hybrid technology and cylinder deactivation to improve efficiency. The engines are offered with a standard six-speed manual transmission or an optional seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch automatic transmission, and front-wheel drive comes standard on most variants.
The base 30 TFSI engine is a 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbo unit that produces around 116 horsepower and 200 Nm of torque. This engine is quite suitable for city driving and gives a “nimble” feel in the city, but can struggle more on long highway journeys. The recommended and more popular option for a better overall experience is the 35 TFSI model with a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 150 PS (148 hp) and 250 Nm of torque. This engine delivers more powerful performance and a smoother, more refined experience, completing the 0-100 km/h acceleration in 8.6 seconds. For even higher performance, a 40 TFSI variant with all-wheel drive and a 2.0-liter engine producing 190 horsepower is also available in some markets.
2026 Audi Q2 : Safety
The 2026 Audi Q2 received the highest five-star safety rating from Euro NCAP when it was last tested in 2016; this rating was based on strong performance achieved with an adult occupant protection rating of 93% and a child safety rating of 86%. All models come standard with essential safety features, including six airbags, ISOFIX anchor points, rear parking sensors, cruise control, and Audi’s pre-detection system using autonomous emergency braking (AEB) that detects potential collisions and automatically applies the brakes. The new 2026 models feature additional advanced driver assistance features, including lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and traffic sign recognition, to meet modern safety regulations. However, it should be noted that the 2016 rating is technically no longer valid under the evolving and stringent Euro NCAP criteria, and the ANCAP rating is not officially assessed for Q2 vehicles produced from January 2023 onwards.
