The 2026 Renault Scenic E-Tech features a modern and airy interior that combines innovative technology with a strong focus on sustainability. The dashboard is dominated by two Renault OpenR screens with a fast and Google-responsive infotainment system with more than 50 apps, while the physical climate control buttons are easy to use. Recycled fabrics and materials are used throughout, including the chairs, to create a vegan interior that feels premium and eco-conscious. A high level of practicality is offered by clever storage solutions, an adjustable boot floor, and a multifunctional rear armrest with USB-C port and integrated device holder. Top-level trims like the Iconic add extra luxuries like power massage seats, premium Harman Kardon audio, and the convenience of a driver recognition system that remembers personal settings.

2026 Renault Scenic : Engine

The 2026 Renault Scenic is offered exclusively with a fully electric powertrain, which means a complete switch from the internal combustion engine. Built on the modular AmpR medium platform, it is powered by an Externally Excited Synchronous Motor (EESM) that delivers smooth, efficient, and responsive acceleration. Using this type of motor is a deliberate step towards sustainability, as it is made without rare metals. Drivers can also take advantage of the new “One Pedal” function, which, together with steering wheel-mounted paddles, adjusts the level of regenerative braking. This allows for smoother and more efficient driving, especially in urban areas, and can bring the vehicle to a complete stop without touching the brake pedal.

The Renault Scenic powertrain comes with two different batteries and power settings to suit different needs. Higher trims, including the sportier Esprit Alpine and premium Iconic versions, are equipped with a larger 87 kWh battery and a more powerful 220 horsepower motor. This configuration not only provides faster acceleration but also extends the driving range, making it ideal for longer trips.

Both powertrains support advanced charging capabilities, with a new 11 kW AC bidirectional charger now standard, and an optional 22 kW AC bidirectional fast charger available for purchase. The Scenic also supports DC fast charging up to 150 kW, allowing for quick top-ups on the go. The inclusion of vehicle-to-load (V2L) and, in France, vehicle-to-grid (V2G) functionality further expands the versatility of electric powertrains, allowing vehicle batteries to supply energy to external devices or even feed energy back into the grid.

2026 Renault Scenic : Safety

The 2026 Renault Scenic E-Tech is equipped with a comprehensive suite of up to 30 safety systems, earning a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating based on testing protocols since 2022. The robust and reinforced structure is equipped with safety features, including many features for airbags and reinforced collision protection. For active safety, the vehicle is managed through Renault’s “Human First Programme”, which includes a range of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). These include Active Emergency Braking (AEB) with pedestrian and cyclist detection, Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with “Stop & Go” function, and Active Driver Assist, which combines ACC with lane-centering for semi-automatic highway driving. Driver recognition systems use cameras to detect signs of fatigue and make personalized adjustments. For maneuverability, the Scenic offers a 360-degree 3D camera system, rear cross-traffic alert with automatic braking, and occupant safety departure warning.
