The 2023 Chevrolet City Express or 2023 Chevy City Express is a cargo van by Chevrolet. The 2023 Chevrolet Express is a compact cargo vehicle designed for small businesses or fleet operators who don’t need a giant like the circumference of a full-size van and prefer to prioritize maneuverability and cost-effectiveness. Like Nissan, the Chevy Express has a 1500-pound payload, a four-cylinder engine, a continuously variable automatic transmission, and 123 cubic feet of cargo space with a five-year drivetrain warranty and two years of free maintenance.

The standard equipment on the LS trim includes 15-inch steel wheels, 40/60 split rear cargo doors, sliding rear side doors, power windshields, power door locks, keyless entry, fabric upholstery, vinyl upholstery, a height-adjustable drive. seat with manual lumbar support, foldable passenger seat, tilt-only steering wheel, air conditioning, Bluetooth connectivity, rearview camera, and two-speaker audio system with CD player and auxiliary audio jack. Cruise control and rear parking sensors are available as standalone options for the LS.

In addition to all of the above, the LT includes heated power mirrors, an additional 12-volt rear power outlet, cruise control, and rear parking sensors. The LT is a cosmetic step up from the interior of the basic City Express. The radio and most of the controls are simple and easy to use. Most people will find the front seat very accessible. The low-load floor in the cargo area is a plus. Visibility is a serious minus, even with a rear-view camera. Large windshields with additional low-sight glasses increase front/side visibility, as do large side mirrors with blind spot bubbles. Otherwise, visibility is limited to windowless side panel doors. A squeaky business van is forgivable up to a point, especially when empty. Some parts of the trim flex when the door handles are pulled. The standard head unit of the City Express features AM/FM reception, a CD slot, Bluetooth connectivity, and an auxiliary input that plays through two door-mounted speakers.
