In the current decade, the use of electric vehicles has been on the upsurge for over a decade now, and the visibility in its industrial growth has taken the center stage. They are constantly on the lookout for making their daily life easy and cost-effective, especially for those who travel or commute daily. And this is where electric vehicles are changing the transportation game, diminishing traditional ways of transport, and coming up with new and better ways for people to get around.

Vehicles powered by electricity through fuel cells or batteries all fall under the EV (Electrical Vehicle) category. Nonelectric vehicles are solely reliant on oil, their dominant energy source. And more people are choosing to shift to electric vehicles for these very reasons. With rising oil prices and higher maintenance, owning an electric vehicle clearly seems like a better deal and possibly explains why car manufacturers such as Lotus and many others are in a hurry to make that shift in the automotive world.

Electric vehicles do not need to be fueled with petrol or diesel. The batteries in an electric vehicle, commonly known as a traction batteries, are used to power the vehicle. Being able to conveniently charge the battery at nearby charging stations instead of taking the trouble of queuing up at a gas or petrol station. The bright side of owning an electric vehicle is that you can charge the battery of your vehicle from the comfort of your home.

An electric vehicle eliminates the maintenance requirements needed in a fuel-operated vehicle. Because the vehicle does not rely on oil as much, only a few parts of the electric vehicle need to be lubricated from time to time, demanding less maintenance.

An electric car runs on electricity, and yes, you have guessed it right. You can generate electricity in your garden or rooftop using solar panels, which you can transfer onto your electric car’s batteries. Many electric vehicle owners have opted for installing solar panels for charging their vehicle batteries with renewable energy.

5. Eco-friendly Savings on CO2 Emissions

A major benefit of owning an electric car is that they do not produce emissions when they are being operated. Eliminating the combustion and absence of fuel makes electric vehicles more sustainable and eco-friendly.
