2021 Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class
The 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class is formerly known as 2021 Mercedes-Benz GL-Class, is a full-size luxury SUV manufactured by Mercedes-Benz. The 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class has a number of powerful engines and works well in terms of their size. Plus, it gets good gas mileage and walks comfortably even on rough pavement. Inside, one of the best-equipped interiors in the class, three-row wide seats, and good cargo handling.
Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class also has a lot of features, but it takes some time to master the entertainment system. The 3-lane large SUV makes room for the whole family and will delight everyone with its technologically rich cabin, comfortable travel, and beautiful interior materials. Customers can choose the 362-horsepower turbocharged inline-six or the 483-horsepower twin-turbo V-8, both of which use a hybrid assist system.
Despite this technology, no power unit provides very good fuel efficiency, but at least the GLS’s EPA performance is compatible with rival SUV models such as the Land Rover Range Rover and Lincoln Navigator. The all-wheel-drive also meets standards such as air suspension, but Mercedes offers a hole-sensitive modernization, as well as increased ground clearance.
2021 Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class Interior
Mercedes-Benz 2021 GLS has a beautiful cabinet full of quality materials, including genuine woodwork. It’s definitely part of the highest-end luxury SUV. GLS models are three-row SUVs for six or seven people, depending on whether you want a second-row captain’s chair. With the exception of the new Maybach model with two rows of four to five people. Each row has enough space for adult passengers, although the third row has slightly less head and foot space than the first two. Easy to get in and out of any row, the seats are soft and supportive. The Mercedes-Benz Mercedes-Benz has four complete LATCH connector sets, two for the second and third rows.
The 12.3-inch digital displays occupy most of the dashboard: one serves as a re-adjustable measurement display for the driver, while the other performs entertainment functions and controls Mercedes-Benz’s new MBUX software, it has an iPhone-like virtual assistant. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities, fast navigation, and an onboard Wi-Fi hotspot are standard. All 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLS models are equipped with a 13-speaker Burmester Surround Sound stereo, but if that’s not enough for you, there’s a crazy 26-speaker Burmester 3D audio system.
Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class 2021 Engine
Each GLS model has a different engine. The 450 base comes with a turbocharged six-cylinder with 362 horsepower. It has two turbo V8s with 580,483 horsepower. The Mercedes-Benz AMG GLS 63 and Maybach GLS 600 have two turbo V8s and they have 603 and 550 horsepower, respectively. All models are equipped with a nine-speed automatic transmission. None of these engines feel weak. The inline-six also features a vibrant and soft hybrid EQ Boost system that gives it a bit of extra vibration during acceleration. The V8-powered GLS models provide a decent acceleration to the more powerful and high-performance AMG model sports cars. The GLS’s fuel economy rating may be less competitive. The GLS 450 gets 20 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway. The Mercedes-Benz AMG GLS 63 14/18 mpg significantly worsens the city/highway rating.
Mercedes-Benz 2021 GLS-Class Safety
The National Road Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Road Safety Insurance Institute (IIHS) did not publish crash test results for the 2021 GLS-class. Mercedes-Benz offers several different features that help the driver in this off-road, but the most interesting bits, such as the semi-autonomous driving mode, lead to additional costs. Key 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLS Class safety features include collision warning, pre-safe, emergency braking, drowsiness monitoring, wind assist, blind tracking, exit warning, camera system, and park assistant to monitor the surroundings.
