2019 Senna’s dihedral doors and its carbon-fiber structure is clearly visible on the dash and doors. The material extends to the customizable bucket seats and mingles with faux suede or optional leather all over the straightforward cabin. The airy interior provides excellent visibility with narrow roof pillars and unique see-through sections on the door panels. The traditional switchgear, electronic by release, window buttons, and push-button start, hang from the ceiling.
The McLaren Senna 2019 steering wheel is free of buttons and the digital gauge cluster folds up or down depending on the display mode. An 8.0-inch touchscreen is centrally located and includes functions for audio, media, navigation, and more. While the 2019 McLaren Senna skips common driver-assistance technology found on common cars, it is available with a three-camera system that can be used record-breaking lap times.

2019 McLaren Senna mid-mounted twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 sends 789 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The version we tested blasted from zero to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds and reached 100 mph in 5.1 ticks. It clipped the quarter-mile in 10.1 seconds at 147 mph. Its thunderous performance numbers were matched by deafening noise levels that showcase this machine’s purity of purpose. With more than 1.5 tons – McLaren claims up to 1763 pounds – or downforce on tap and advanced chassis tuning that is highlighted by chest-compression brakes and supernatural steering feel, the Senna checks boxes that had to be added.
2019 McLaren Senna GTR
At the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, McLaren unveiled the track-only iteration of the Senna dubbed the Senna GTR. The GTR utilizes a dual-clutch race transmission for faster gear shifts, a revised suspension system, and Pirelli racing slicks in order to make it the fastest non-Formula One vehicle McLaren has ever created for faster lap times. The Senna GTR is estimated to produce at least 825 PS (607 kW; 814 hp) from its 4.0 L twin-turbocharged V8 engine and is more than agile than its road-going counterpart. On the exterior, the GTR utilizes wider front and rear fenders, a larger front splitter, new wheels, and a larger rear diffuser in order to make the car generate about 1,000 kg (2,204 lb) or downforce. The 2019 McLaren Senna GTR will be limited to only 75 examples and will have a cost of £ 1 million each.
