The 2021 Lotus Evija is a limited electric sports car manufactured by the Lotus British carmaker. Lotus Evija aims to push the boundaries of modern Hypercar technology. While many competitors offer Hybrid powertrains, this model is fully electric and it comes with ultrafast power setup. Lotus Evija exterior design receives signals from racing cars built to dominate the track. The car’s sheet metal includes elements such as butterfly doors and a large rear wing.
Lotus said it plans to conduct thousands of miles of road tests for the car on its own in European schemes and Lotus in Hatel, England. Starting in August 2020, production will begin in mid-2021. But that’s what this car offers from its four electric motors: the Evija has almost 2,000 horsepower, and Lotus makes it the most powerful production car on the planet.
2021 Lotus Evija Interior
Lotus Evija accommodates two passengers and its cabin can be accessed through a pair of dihedral doors. These doors work without handles to maintain the car’s clean, sculptural aesthetics, and they work using a basic fob. Evija’s electrically adjustable front seats feature thick cushions lined with carbon fiber sheath and microfiber. The driver can adjust the turn and length of the steering column manually, and there are two custom-made storage spaces close to the number points of the passengers.
The list of standard indoor equipment includes climate control and three-point seat belts, while four-point harnesses are provided as optional equipment. Overall, the Evija cabin has both a retro and a modern look in some way. All Evija Hypercars have technological features such as Bluetooth connectivity and entertainment system. In front of the steering wheel is a digital display that provides the driver with relevant information such as battery charge and remaining distance.
Evija is equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities and has an on-board modem installed that makes it easy to connect to the Lotus cloud. There is a smartphone app that allows drivers to track Evija from anywhere, check things like battery charge status and driving range.
