The 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan is a seven-passenger minivan offered in four trim levels: SE, SE Plus, SXT, and GT. The new base 2017 Dodge Caravan SE has a pretty solid standard equipment list, including 17-inch steel wheels, heated mirrors, tri-climate control, cruise control, a tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel with audio controls, a conversation mirror, folding the 2nd-row bench with Stow n Go-in-the-floor function, and may conclude mirrors and windows. Entertainment comes in the form of a six-speaker sound system with a CD player and an auxiliary audio jack. Later in the model year, a 6.5-inch touchscreen display with a rearview camera standard is all Grand Caravans.

The 2017 Caravan SE can be ordered adding the UConnect Hands-Free Group package, which is an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and shifter, satellite radio, a USB port, and Bluetooth audio and phone connectivity. The power window Group package also get power operation for the second and third row of windows. The 2017 Caravan SE Plus comes with the above equipment as standard, plus 17-inch alloy wheels, upgraded upholstery and trim, a front floor console, seats 2nd-row captain with an additional floor console and rear privacy glass.

The 2017 Grand Caravan SXT added features include Chrome exterior trim, fog lights, automatic headlights, roof rails, power sliding rear doors, a power liftgate, remote start engine, a larger floor console, leather with suede inserts and an eight-way power driver seat. The 2017 Dodge Caravan SXT’s feature-rich Driver Convenience Group package adds a rear overhead console, an overhead storage bin, automatic climate control, a heated steering wheel, second and third-row sunshades, heated front and 2nd-row seats, ambient lighting and voice control.

The distance topping Grand Caravan is the GT. The new Grand Caravan 2017 model takes the standard content of the SXT with the driver Convenience Group and adds a body-colored grille, a performance tuned suspension, different wheels, black interior accents, a driver information center, an 115- volt household-style outlet, full leather seats, an eight-way power passenger seat, a 6.5-inch touchscreen display, a rearview camera and an upgraded nine-speaker sound system. Later in the model year, will be navigation standard.

Different finishes also get access to special options packages. All models can be ordered with a DVD entertainment system, the GT’s touchscreen beams with a 9-inch 2nd-row screen, an HDMI input, reversing camera, radio, two USB charging ports and 115- volt power outlet. The road appearance package, which is available on the SE Plus and SXT trims, add silver interior accents and a black grille, wheels, and leather interior accents. The GT-only Safety Sphere group adds rear parking sensors, blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.
