The 2018 Audi A3 is a small family car/compact produced since 1996. The first two generations of A3 were based on the Volkswagen Group A platform, shared with several other models such as the Audi TT, Volkswagen Golf Volkswagen Caddy and Volkswagen Touran and SEAT Leon, SEAT Toledo and Skoda Octavia. The New Audi A3 2018 uses the MQB platform.

2018 Audi A3 Sedan
The 2018 A3 Sedan includes a body 11 mm (0.43 in) wider and 9 mm (0.35 in) lower than the A3 Sportback. Other features include 16 to 18-inch wheels (19-inch optional wheels via Quattro GmbH) and electronic stability control with the electronic differential lock.

2018 Audi A3 Sportback
The Audi A3 Sportback features a wheelbase 58 mm (2.28 in) on the previous model, 35 mm (1.38 in) longer than the A3 and front axle moved forward by 40 mm ( 1.57 in) on the previous model. Other features include a choice of 13 body colors (three solid finishes, eight metallic finishes and two pearl-effect finishes), optional high-gloss package adding accents around the windows, six-speed gearbox (optional S tronic) for all engine models, 16 or 17 inch wheels depending on the cutting line, Audi drive select (standard with ambition) with optional S Tronic and the electromagnetic damper control system optional.

2018 Audi A3 Sportback E-Tron
The plug-in hybrid concept car was unveiled in 2013 Geneva Motor Show. The plug-in hybrid can reach a maximum speed of 220 km / h (140 mph) and can reach 100 km / h (62 mph) in 7.6 seconds. According to Audi, the car has an average fuel efficiency of CO2 emissions equivalent of 35 mpg and 188 g / km.
2018 Audi A3 Safety
Euro NCAP tested the second-generation Audi A3 with front airbags, side airbags, pre-tensioners and seat belt load limiters as standard. Although Audi increased protection inside the car for the driver and passengers, the safety of pedestrians actually got 33% worse compared to the first generation and Euro NCAP gave the car reviews offered virtually no protection at all on the front and scoring only one of four possible stars. “A poor result for a new car,” was the verdict given to pedestrian safety after the 2018 Audi A3 Sportback test.
