Cycling is the best way to get to know a country because you sweat up its hills and then hurtle down them again. Cycling is more fun together. The Sette Colli cycling club meets regularly for rides on gravel bikes or cross-country bikes in Bonn-Bad Godesberg. Every driver is welcome to participate at any time. We are not a club, but a loose association of cycling enthusiasts. The Sette Colli is the open cycling club for everyone in Bonn-Bad Godesberg. We are not an association. We do not pursue commercial interests.

We are a place where amateur cyclists who are enthusiastic about cycling meet and like to go on sporty tours on gravel bikes, cyclocross bikes, or mountain bikes through our area. When it comes to our excursions, the focus is on having fun. Excessive pressure to perform and competitive ambitions are out of place. Guests are always welcome on our gravel bike or cross-country bike rides, provided the rules are followed. We always publish the next dates in good time. We meet 10 minutes before the respective tour on the banks of the Rhine at the Rheinhotel Dreesen in Bad Godesberg.

The Sette Colli was founded in 1998 in Königswinter as a winter training center for cross-country cycling. The original territory was the Siebengebirge. Hence the name Sette Colli (Italian “Seven Hills”). A car driver can ride all year round from Bad Godesberg through our area, mainly on gravel bikes or cross-country bikes. The region around Bonn is an ideal training and leisure area for gravel bikes. The Eifel, the Westerwald, and the Bergisches Land meet all requirements. The regions are large enough to offer hundreds of different routes. Sette Colli can also let off steam on our cross-country bikes directly near Bonn, in the Kottenforst, and in the Siebengebirge.

The Sette Colli cycling club meets for joint gravel rides on the banks of the Rhine in front of the Rheinhotel Dreesen in Bonn-Bad Godesberg. All cyclists are welcome, provided our rules are observed. The Westerwald with its large valleys on the Wied and on the Lahn offers a magnificent backdrop for cycling. Crunchy climbs alternate with flowing trails. Here’s something for every taste. The Oberbergisches Land begins behind Siegburg. Many small, hidden paths with a high proportion of trails are perfect for cross-country bikes. The area around the Sieg also invites you to take relaxed tours. The Kottenforst with its many trails, some tricky climbs, and the very varied terrain is the ideal training area for our off-road bikes. Once the perfect and at the same time very demanding training area for mountain bikes and cross-country bikes.

Here, vertical meters were collected and technical challenges were mastered. In the Siebengebirge Nature Park, however, only marked paths have been allowed to be used for a number of years. In addition, this small low mountain range is a popular excursion destination, especially on weekends and public holidays. As a result, the area is becoming less and less important for cycling. Throughout the year we meet regularly in Bonn-Bad Godesberg for sporty cross-country tours. At Sette Colli, the focus is on having fun with cycling. In the summer season, a visit to the Dreesen beer garden is part of it. Sette Colli will be happy to make our proven routes available to athletes. Sometimes you like to ride alone or at times when others are not drawn to the crosser.
